Few kilometers from Trapani, located in the upper
part of western Sicily, resides a golden treasure of an ancient
"baglio", a country residence of the Curatolo family
since the eighteenth century.
The original barns, stalls and warehouses have been salvaged
to become distinct guest lodgings, with country forniture; they
overlook olive groves, citrus trees and century old pine trees.Strolling
or cycling around the premises you will encounter the true family
of "baglio" not only the family dogs and cats, but
also the friendly geese, turkeys and peacocks.
Guests will be able to take full advantage of the available
recreational sports such as football, volleyball and out door
bowling and for the youngest their very own play area.
In the working farm they grow their own vegetables, citrus fruits
and olives, which are then used to produce their classical tomato
puree, fruit and vegetables preserves and oil, moreover they
cook some typical dish using Sicilian traditional methods handed
down the family. |
