Ca' Pisani was the first design hotel to be built in Venice.
It offers an alternative to the classic Venetian hotel and
is often frequented by leading figures of the arts. The hotel's
exterior boasts a beautiful façade dating back to the
fifteenth-century: a striking contrast to its eclectic interiors.
The palazzo itself is a fine example of a late thirteenth-century
Venetian building of the nobility. In the late sixteenth century,
the architect Roberto Canovaro renovated the palazzo whilst
retaining its original character and turned it into a 29-bedroom
hotel.
The style is very reminiscent of the nineteen thirties and
forties with its Futurist figurative/geometric patterns, although
it also features many contemporary details that give a modern-day
feel: starlights or wrought iron, drops of silver or deep
red hues, bamboo, marble and walnut wood.
